The Anglican Parish of St Peter, Quamichan (Duncan, BC)
This series of HDR photographs is of the Anglican Parish of St. Peter, Quamichan. It was originally built in 1866. It is the oldest church still standing on the original site in the Cowichan Valley. It sits within a parklike setting of 98 acres of oak trees. The cemetery is situated in a grove of ancient oak and fir trees and has gravesites going back to 1866. The granite slab in the front of the church with the cross on top weighs ten tons and was moved by parishioners to the church.

on December 2, 2013Thank you so much for your visit and support here, Linda, we sure do appreciate it! I believe the red church you are referring to has not sold as there are some underlying complexities to the sale. Many thanks for popping on by and leaving us your wonderful comments here, we really enjoy connecting with you here!
