The Galaxy Nightclub
This nightclub is located just on the outskirts of the town we live in. When we were growing up this was one of the spots we frequented for night time fun activities, that's for sure. As I drive by this site everyday on my commute, I've been watching it slowly deteriorate as business slowed to a crawl, and eventually the boards went up and it's been locked up solid since. Abandoned. Neglected. Most certainly forlorn.

on February 23, 2021I used to work at the Tim Hortons on the Locations of the old Galaxy Nightclub about a year ago, I used to hear doors open and close at night constantly. Out of sheer curiosity, have there been any deaths at this nightclub?

on September 8, 2019I remember going here back in 1993. Was an ok club then, but the best one in Duncan. Looks like it changed a bit since then. Great pics, thx!

on August 2, 2016Hi Chris! I just realized I missed your comment here from earlier this year! Thanks so much for popping by and leaving your thoughts, I totally agree with you!! We went here often during our misspent youth and really enjoyed hanging out with the crowds and the bands that used to frequent here. Thanks a ton for popping by and commenting, and I'm not sure if you know yet or not but the Galaxy is now long gone and is just an empty parking lot. I drove by this spot every day and reminisce about the good ol' days... sheesh, I'm starting to sound like my Dad did when I was young!! LOL ;)

on March 11, 2016I remember my band (and every other Duncan band) playing here. The management also used to spare no expense bringing in great bands from Vancouver.....6 nights a week - and even the crappy bands were good back then. These pictures are kinda like looking at ghosts...but in a good way. I am so glad to have been a budding musician at a time when there was a vibrant music scene, for the patrons and musicians alike. Remember the "stars" on the ceiling? And don't forget the "Dragon Yuan" café....I remember going for Chinese food there when I was like, 6 years old.....just turned 54. Where does the time go?
