Mars Water Bomber
Glenn L. Martin originally designed this large transport plane to support the war effort. In the early 1940's, the original design came into service and quickly became a key element in the war effort. After the war ended, the planes and designs were sold to a group that then converted the planes to active water bombing service to fight large forest fires. Still active today, they are considered to be the largest flying boats in operation in the world.
