Cole Island
Cole Island is an important heritage site for all of Canada, being one of the initial facilities constructed during colonization intended to store munitions safely for the Pacific Naval Defense system that was being created at the time. Today, this wonderful national treasure is under the auspices of the Provincial Government’s Heritage Branch and is lovingly and carefully maintained by a local group called "The Friends Of Cole Island". Join us as we celebrate this incredible and beautiful National Historic Site in our photoblog series "The Toads At Cole Island".
