Peacock

This beautiful bird was found nestled on a farm deep in the valley on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. Wikipedia describes this bird as "Indian Peafowl, Pavo cristatus, a resident breeder in South Asia. The peacock is designated as the national bird of India and the provincial bird of the Punjab." We believe this wonderful creature is a pet of the farm owners as this is most definitely not it's natural habitat, and we have seen no others at all on the island during our adventures.
