Jasper Park: Moose Lake
Moose Lake is a lake outside the city of Jasper, in Jasper National Park, Canada. It is located west of the city as you make your approach into Jasper. As we were traveling from BC to Alberta, this was the first glacier lake we encountered that had blue water unlike anything we've seen before. There is a waterfall on the opposite mountain called "Thunder Falls". We hope you enjoy viewing this series of photos as much as we enjoyed capturing them.

on May 21, 2012Thank you for the nice comments and the clarification on location! I had a hard time pinning this place down from satellite views when I originally indexed it and obviously was off by a few hundred kilometers. Thanks ever so kindly for taking the time to visit, and for leaving us your comments!

on May 19, 2012Nice pics! Just a note - Moose Lake is actually in British Columbia's "Mount Robson Provincial Park", not in Jasper National Park, Alberta. The provincial border, continental divide and boundary between the two parks lies at Yellowhead Pass, and Moose Lake is near the headwaters of the Fraser River on the west side of the pass.
