1987 Corvette Roadster
This is a 1987 Corvette Roadster, a true member of our family. Corvettes have always been my very favorite car and when my 40th birthday came around we decided we might be able to afford one. After 3 months of arduous research into the exact year and options I wanted, we found this beautiful roadster. It took a little while longer to get the car transferred from another province to where we live. We bought this car online without a test drive or an in-person check-over, which is a little risky. Five years later, she's still in wonderful overall condition and has been an absolute joy for the years we've had her so far. This car is in excellent mechanical shape, but could go for a restoration including paint, carpet, seats and other trim elements that are starting to show their age. She is not a "Garage Queen" and sees a lot of road-time, we drive it quite a bit. We hope you enjoy viewing this gallery of images we have captured of this iconic American Muscle Car.

on June 7, 2011Thank you so much Jan, we sure do appreciate your visit & comments! I totally agree and know EXACTLY what you are talking about with the Impala. I have always wanted a Impala SS myself, I think they are GORGEOUS cars. The tail lights on both cars are one of my favorite parts of Chevrolet cars, too. The Impala's and classic Chevy's from the 50's and 60's all seemed to have a similar, yet somehow unique, tail light setup. I have always always loved it. As you can see in our gallery of the Corvette here, we have more than one photo showcasing those very lights. Our "Beastie" here is no Garage Queen, she is driven very regularly and now that summer is coming around again, she's about to see a lot of road time. I always get a kick out of sharing stories of her with folks who love these old classics. And there's nothing better than passing a young boy on the street holding his mothers hands, when he sees the car and starts to jump up and down and squeal with delight. One of my favorite things. Thanks so very much for your kind visit & comments, we really appreciate that!

on June 7, 2011Corvette has always been a favorite of mine, and its because of the rear lights. Extremely simple yet oozes of power. I drive a 2003 Impala LS, which has the "similar" Corvette features on the rear - okay I know its a stretch, but thats what give the Impala of that model a distinctive look. People know exactly what just passed them on the highway... :) The newer models looks like a freaking Honda.
Great series of images and the Vette looks really good - it 24 years old after all. Im glad you are using it, cause they deserve to be driven.
