This is a small cabin located in the Cowichan Valley, on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. The original owner was from the province of Manitoba and would come to the island in the winters to log. This cabin was moved, piece by piece, from another location on the island and setup here to meet the requirements of local zoning and planning. Many years ago, the province would gift land to people with the stipulation that they do some form of improvement on it. This cabin had no electricity or running water at that time.
